Psalm 32:8
8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.
When you were young, did you ever get “the look” from a teacher or your parents? In that moment, no words are spoken, but something is very clearly communicated - stop doing that thing you’re doing. However, “the look” only works if the one being looked at is looking back. Are you looking at God to see what He’s trying to tell you?
God is looking at you with love and care, and he wants to show you the path of joy, peace, and life. Seek His face through prayer and reading His Word. Let Him guide you with His eye. Not to worldly riches and selfish ambition, but to the greatest joy of all - Himself.
